02/

Eco Friendly
Fireline Resistant boards are extremely Eco friendly. They are not made up of any harmful materials. Like moisture resistant boards, the Pink liners are also made up of recyclable material. They can easily be dismantled and reused again.

03/

Easy To Install
Fire resistant boards are very easy to install. It can be quickly installed on to any False ceiling and Partition framework. With very few joints and the coverage of the Joints using Jointing compound, they give a very clean look.

04/

Very Durable
As Gypsum being the core material in Fire resistant boards, it makes the board very durable in nature. These boards can easily be transported and shifted without causing any Physical damage.

05/

Long Life Span
Fire resistant boards offer a very long-life span. They are made up of a Aerated Gypsum, Glass Fibers and additives; all being core components for a very strong Board. This not only helps in preventing any form of wear and tear but also makes the board termite proof and Fungi Proof.

06/

Acoustic Treatment
Fire resistant boards help in improving the Acoustics of the Room upto a certain extent. Enhanced acoustic performance is achievable when used as a properly designed Drywall Partition, Wall Cladding or False ceiling system.

Types of Fire Resistant Ceiling Board

Regular Gypsum Boards – Regular gypsum boards, also known as drywall, are the most commonly used type. They are composed of a gypsum core encased in a thick paper on both sides. These boards are lightweight, easy to install, and offer excellent sound insulation properties.

Impact Resistant Boards – Impact-resistant gypsum boards are engineered to withstand physical impact and abuse. They have a reinforced core that enhances their durability, making them highly suitable for high-traffic areas prone to damage, such as hallways, schools, hospitals, and public buildings.

Shaft Boards– Shaft Board has a pure, high-density gypsum core with special additives for superior moisture and fire resistance. It is the ideal product for fire-resistance requirements in areas such as lifts, stairwells, service shafts and other fire-resistant applications.

Glass Mat Sheathing Boards – Glass mat sheathing boards are gypsum boards reinforced with fiberglass mats on both sides. These boards offer excellent resistance to moisture, mold, and impact.

Acoustic Boards – Acoustic gypsum boards are specifically designed to absorb sound, making them ideal for creating soundproof spaces. They feature a dense core and additional sound-damping layers, which reduce noise transmission and improve the acoustic performance of a room.

Installation Guide for Mgo Ceiling Board

Step 1: Choose High-Quality Adhesive and Tools
Select high-quality adhesives and suitable construction tools for bonding. Common substrates include blockboard, medium-density fiberboard (MDF), and particleboard. Pay special attention to the moisture content and flatness of the substrate, particularly if it has a sanded surface. Always opt for genuine, high-quality super glue and use carbon steel tools for cutting and installation.

Step 2: Apply Adhesive Evenly
Apply the super glue evenly on both the back of the fireproof board and the substrate surface. If the substrate is uneven or has low water absorption, it may require two coats of glue to ensure complete coverage.

Step 3: Allow Adhesive to Evaporate
Allow the adhesive on both the fireproof board and substrate to evaporate as specified. Evaporation times vary based on factors such as season, climate, and the adhesive brand. Always follow the recommendations provided on the glue packaging and consider any adjustments based on construction experience.

Step 4: Attach the Fireproof Board
Carefully place the fireproof board on the substrate. Press the board down evenly, using a roller or cloth to ensure complete adhesion and to eliminate air pockets. This process ensures an even distribution of adhesive and minimizes the risk of bubbling or detachment.

Step 5: Shaping and Cleaning
After bonding, perform any necessary shaping and cleaning. This step may involve trimming excess edges or smoothing the surface. A clean, polished finish enhances the appearance and durability of the installation.

Q: Is MgO board waterproof?

A: The boards are still structural and dimensionally stable even when wet. They do not swell, warp, or delaminate. They even protect against moisture when underneath basement flooring boards. It is essential to note that MgO boards are moisture and water resistant but not waterproof.

Q: How thick is a MgO board?

A: High Quality MagPanel® MgO Magnesium Oxide Boards
We offer MagPanel® MgO Panels in standard 4 ft × 8 ft sheets and in multiple thicknesses from 6mm to 20mm for your every need.

Q: Is MgO durable?

A: Durability: The MgO board is known for its superior durability. It is resistant to fire, water, mold, and mildew and less prone to impact damage. Drywall, while sturdy, is generally more susceptible to water damage and can be prone to mold growth in damp conditions.

Q: Is MgO board structural?

A: MgO Boards: A Quick Overview
These are non-combustible and robust materials used as non-structural wall sheathing. Other than that, MgO boards are used for flooring and ceilings.

Q: Is the MgO board breathable?

A: Generally, MgO boards have a certain degree of breathability, which allows moisture vapor to pass through. This characteristic is beneficial in building construction as it helps prevent moisture buildup and associated issues like mold and mildew.

Q: How do you finish magnesium oxide board?

A: Plastering
Choose the suitable plaster and MgO boards according to your taste.
Apply the plaster using a trowel, spreading it evenly on the surface.
