MGO Board Special Knowledge for Low-Temperature Production in Winter (For Northern China like Shandong)
Feb 02, 2026
The production of MGO boards in northern winter (typical temperature range: -10~5℃ in Shandong) faces common technical difficulties in the industry: low temperature greatly slows down the hydration reaction rate of magnesia cement, directly extending the curing cycle by 30%~50%. Meanwhile, large diurnal temperature difference easily causes internal stress cracking.
The universal industrial solutions are: preheating raw materials to above 10℃, optimizing the ratio of modified additives to improve low-temperature reaction activity, adopting fully enclosed thermal insulation and constant temperature equipment in curing workshops, applying gradient temperature-rising curing instead of direct high-temperature baking, and strictly controlling the moisture content of finished products ≤10% before delivery. These measures can maintain the physical properties and production efficiency of boards in low-temperature environments, which are standardized technical solutions for stable production and supply of MGO boards in northern winter.
