MGO Boards: Excellent Hurricane Resistance
Jan 27, 2026
MGO boards are the preferred building material for constructions in hurricane-prone areas. Boasting high mechanical strength, excellent impact resistance, a strong wind load bearing capacity as well as moisture and water resistance, they can effectively withstand strong winds, the impact of flying debris and rainwater infiltration caused by hurricanes, and fully safeguard the structural integrity of buildings. Their interior is reinforced with fiberglass mesh to form a tough structure, with a flexural strength of 18-27 MPa and an impact strength of ≥4.5 kJ. This enables them to bear hurricane-level wind loads and the impact of high-speed flying objects. Meanwhile, MGO boards feature extremely low water absorption and outstanding dimensional stability. They will not deform or break even when soaked in heavy rain brought by hurricanes, thus avoiding secondary damage to building structures caused by rainwater seepage. In addition, some MGO board products have passed relevant certifications and are approved for official application in hurricane-prone regions.
