Product Introduction

Magnesium Oxide Board Fire-Resistant Flooring: A High-Performance, Safe and Eco-Friendly Building Floor Solution
Magnesium oxide board fire-resistant flooring is an inorganic board made by compounding magnesium oxide (MgO), magnesium chloride (MgCl₂)/magnesium sulfate(MgSO₄), reinforcing fibers (such as glass fiber cloth) and functional fillers through specific processes. It is specially used as structural sheathing for building floor systems. It not only has the structural support function of traditional floor substrates, but also excels in fire resistance, water resistance, moisture resistance, mildew resistance, corrosion resistance and environmental performance. It is an ideal choice for modern buildings, especially light steel structure buildings, prefabricated buildings, high-rise buildings and places with strict fire protection requirements.
1. Core Advantages and Performance Characteristics
Excellent fire resistance (core advantage)
Non-combustibility: Magnesium oxide boards belong to Class A non-combustible materials (China standard GB 8624 A1 class). They do not burn or produce toxic fumes at high temperatures, and can effectively prevent the spread of flames.
High fire resistance limit: Through reasonable design, the magnesium oxide board system can achieve a fire resistance limit of 2 hours or even higher, meeting the requirements of building codes for floor fire compartments, and gaining valuable time for personnel evacuation and fire rescue.
Alternative to traditional materials: In markets such as North America, it is becoming a strong competitor to fire-retardant treated wood (FRW) and some fiber cement boards in fire-resistant floor applications.
Waterproof and moisture-proof
Water immersion resistance: After the magnesium oxide board is soaked in water, they are not easy to expand, deform or delaminate, and are especially suitable for humid environments such as bathrooms, kitchens, basements, as well as coastal and rainy areas.
Mildew and antibacterial properties: The inorganic material is not easy to breed mold and bacteria, maintaining a healthy indoor environment and avoiding structural decay and indoor air pollution caused by moisture.
High strength and structural stability
High bending and compressive strength: It can effectively bear floor loads and provide a solid and flat base for upper floors (such as ceramic tiles, wood floors, carpets).
Perfect match with light steel keels: Its rigidity and dimensional stability make it an ideal floor sheathing in light gauge steel framing buildings, with convenient installation and stable overall structure.
Environmental protection and health
Asbestos-free and formaldehyde-free: The main components are inorganic minerals. No harmful substances such as asbestos, benzene, and formaldehyde are added during the production process. The release of VOCs (volatile organic compounds) is extremely low, meeting the requirements of green buildings and healthy residences.
Recyclable: Waste boards can be crushed and reused as fillers or raw materials, reducing construction waste.
Convenient construction and high efficiency
Easy to cut and install: It can be cut and drilled with ordinary woodworking tools. The installation method is similar to traditional boards, and the construction speed is fast.
Suitable for prefabricated buildings: Its dimensional stability and prefabrication potential make it very suitable for modular buildings and integrated houses that are prefabricated in factories and quickly assembled on site.
2. Main Application Fields
Residential buildings: Floor systems of high-rise apartments, villas, and indemnificatory housing, especially suitable for areas with high requirements for fire and moisture resistance.
Public buildings: Floors of densely populated places such as schools, hospitals, hotels, shopping malls, and office buildings, meeting strict fire and safety regulations.
Industrial and commercial buildings: Factories, warehouses, data centers and other places with high requirements for fire resistance and durability.
Buildings in special environments: Coastal buildings, buildings in high humidity areas, basements, areas around swimming pools, etc.
Prefabricated/modular buildings: As the core structural layer of prefabricated floor units.

Advantage
MgO board is fire resistant building material for commercial and residential construction. It is a class A1 fire resistant product (highest fire resistance according to Chinese national standard).
2,MgO board is non-toxic, so it contributes to a healthier indoor environment. It is the perfect choice for people who suffer from asthma.
3,Chemical compound of Magnesium Oxide acts as a deterrent to termites.
4,MgO board is NOT made from toxic materials such as benzene, ammonia and asbestos. Fully recyclable.
The antimicrobial properties of MgO board make it resistant to mold, mildew, fungus and rot.
Compared to wood and gypsum products, the MgO board is better in terms of water resistance. It is more suitable for coastal environments.
7,Stronger and more durable than OSB and fiber cement products.
8,Simple to construct, convenient and quick to install, easy to cut and drill.
9,High performance with affordable price.

FAQ
Q:How do I cut MgO Panels?
A: For optimal results cutting MgO panels, use a thin carbide circular saw or worm drive saw. Rout the edges using carbide tooling. If the construction project is a large project, consider using a diamond bit. MgO panels can be scored with a razor blade and snapped apart from the smooth side.
Q:What is the lead time?
A: It takes 4 weeks for MgO cement products to fully cure. The cement products can still cure in containers if we ship less than 4 weeks, but the curing condition at sea is not under control, which will affect the quality of products. We strongly recommend you to take the curing time into consideration when placing orders.
