What should I do if there are cracks in the lightweight partition board?

In construction, there are often cracks in lightweight partition boards of different sizes and depths. What should I do if there are cracks in lightweight partition boards? By analyzing the behavior of common light-weight partition board cracks, this paper reveals the causes of light-weight partition board cracks, and proposes fundamental measures for control, prevention and treatment.

The performance of cracks in lightweight partition boards:

Oblique cracks: They are mostly distributed on the floor of the room where the corner of the outer wall of the house is located. The cracks are generally inclined at 45o, and sometimes two cracks appear in one corner at the same time, and the cracks are basically connected up and down. For example, in a seven-story frame commercial and residential building project, the total length of the structure is about 100m, and there are two temperature joints. One side of the foundation is a strip foundation, and the rest is a separate cap foundation. About two months after the handover of the project, it was suddenly found that there was 45 in the one-span column corner floor near one of the temperature joints. There are 3 cracks on each floor from the third floor to the sixth floor, but none of them penetrate the floor.

Longitudinal and transverse cracks: mainly manifested as longitudinal and transverse cracks. For example, in a teaching building, a large area of the cast-in-place reinforced concrete floor has vertical and horizontal cracks ranging from 0.1 to 0.3 mm in width.

Surface cracks: Such cracks are mainly manifested in the cracks generated during the construction process, which are easy to control and deal with. For example, in a project under construction, due to the large area of the slab, the concrete is poured at night, and someone is sent to water it the next morning, but the front is poured, and the back is dried up.

Engineer® AB series grouting resin is specially developed for crack repair of lightweight partition boards. It is mainly composed of high-grade epoxy resin and flexible polyurethane, which can meet the needs of crack grouting under various conditions. Wide cracks (≥1.0mm), active cracks, wet cracks, and mortar, concrete, brick slab hollow gaps and other conditions can be grouted as much as possible.

AB series grouting resin has the following advantages:

Low viscosity and high strength: Most lightweight partition boards have a small crack width (generally 0.1 mm~1mm is more common), AB-grouting resin has low viscosity, high strength, low surface tension, strong permeability, good fluidity, and can be grouted It has good properties, can better adsorb, penetrate and diffuse into the micropores of concrete, fill and fill cracks, and form a good bond with the broken concrete to achieve the purpose of repair and reinforcement;

Good durability: The cracks repaired by AB-grouting resin have waterproof and chemical resistance, preventing harmful substances from penetrating into the concrete through the cracks of the lightweight partition board, ensuring the safety and durability of the structure;

Variety: high temperature resistant resin is suitable for high temperature environment of steel mills, metallurgy and cement plants; water curing resin is suitable for use in humid environments such as dams and marine structures; flexible resin is suitable for high-speed traffic, subway and other dynamic loads, soothing tired environments and Active crack repair;

Fast curing: 20-minute curing resin is suitable for emergency repair projects, and non-stop construction; low-temperature resin is suitable for use at -5 degrees in winter;

Environmental protection: no solvent, avoid damage to production and use workers, meet indoor environment or closed environment construction use, such as underground space, tunnel, storage tank, etc.
