Ideal for bathrooms, basements, kitchens, and outdoor rain-exposed areas-no extra waterproof coatings needed, saving construction time and costs.
3. Top-Tier Fire Safety - Protect Life & Property
Safety is non-negotiable! Our MGO board is Class A1 non-combustible (EN 13501-1, ASTM E119), withstanding 1200℃ high temperatures for over 2 hours. It does not burn, release toxic gases, or produce thick smoke-buying precious evacuation time in case of fire. Complies with global fire codes for schools, hospitals, commercial buildings, and industrial warehouses. Keep your projects up to standard and your clients at ease.
4. Eco-Friendly & User-Safe - Healthy & Green
Meet the growing demand for green building materials! Our MGO board is made of inorganic materials and natural reinforced fibers, with ZERO formaldehyde emission (≤0.02mg/m³, far below EU E0 & US CARB P2 standards). Non-toxic, odorless, and recyclable, it's LEED-certified and safe for direct human contact. Perfect for interior partitions, ceilings, and spaces with high foot traffic-delivering healthy indoor air quality without compromising performance.

Eco-friendly Magnesium Oxide Board Partition Wall Building Materials with A1 Fireproof Grade

1. Inherent Non-combustible Material Composition
The core substrate of the MGO board is composed of inorganic minerals such as high-purity magnesium oxide (MgO), magnesium sulfate (MgSO₄) as a curing agent, and plant fiber (e.g., wood fiber, hemp fiber) as a reinforcing material. Unlike organic building materials (e.g., plywood, particleboard) that contain combustible components, all main ingredients of the MGO board are inorganic substances with high thermal stability:
Magnesium oxide, the key component, has a melting point of approximately 2852℃ and a boiling point of 3600℃. It does not decompose, melt, or release combustible gases when exposed to high temperatures or open flames.
The magnesium sulfate curing system forms a dense, stable crystalline structure after solidification, which does not support combustion or contribute to flame spread.
The added plant fiber is treated with high-temperature resistance and flame-retardant modification. Even in extreme heat, it only undergoes carbonization without open combustion, and the carbonized layer further inhibits heat transfer.
Due to its all-inorganic base, the MGO board itself is non-combustible. When subjected to fire, it does not ignite, produce flaming droplets, or spread fire, fundamentally eliminating the risk of fueling combustion.
2. A1 Grade Fire Performance Test Compliance
The MGO board meets the strict criteria of A1 grade fire performance as defined by international standards:
Combustion performance: In the ISO 1182 non-combustibility test, the board does not exhibit sustained combustion, and the average temperature rise of the test furnace does not exceed 50℃. There is no mass loss exceeding the standard limit, confirming its non-combustible nature.
Heat release rate: In the cone calorimeter test (ISO 5660), the peak heat release rate (PHRR) of the MGO board is far below the limit for combustible materials, with no sudden heat release peak, effectively preventing rapid fire escalation.
Smoke and toxic gas emission: During fire exposure, the MGO board releases almost no smoke (smoke density grade, SDR ≤ 10) and no toxic gases such as formaldehyde, benzene, or carbon monoxide. This is because its inorganic composition does not contain volatile organic compounds (VOCs) or toxic combustion byproducts, ensuring safe evacuation routes and reducing secondary harm to human health.
Flame spread index: In the flame spread test (EN 13823), the flame spread distance on the board surface is less than the specified limit, and the flame does not spread vertically or horizontally, effectively confining the fire to the source area.
3. Structural Integrity and Fire Resistance in Practical Applications
As a partition wall material, the MGO board maintains excellent structural stability and fire resistance under actual fire conditions:
High-temperature dimensional stability: When exposed to temperatures above 1000℃, the MGO board does not deform, warp, or collapse significantly. Its linear expansion coefficient is low (≤ 8×10⁻⁶/℃), ensuring that the partition wall structure remains intact and does not crack, preventing fire from spreading through gaps.
Fire resistance duration: The fire resistance duration of MGO board partition walls varies with thickness (e.g., 12mm, 15mm, 18mm) and installation methods (e.g., single-layer, double-layer, with fireproof filling). Typically, a 12mm single-layer MGO board partition can achieve a fire resistance duration of ≥ 60 minutes, while a 15mm double-layer partition with rock wool filling can reach ≥ 120 minutes, meeting the fire protection requirements of different building spaces (e.g., residential buildings, commercial complexes, industrial workshops).
No post-fire dripping or spalling: Unlike some fire-retardant-treated organic boards that may melt and drip or spall under high temperatures, the MGO board retains its solid structure even after prolonged fire exposure. The surface may form a dense carbonized layer that acts as a heat insulator, slowing down heat transfer to the interior of the partition and protecting the backside structure from fire damage.
4. Eco-friendly Fire Protection Alignment
While emphasizing fire performance, the MGO board maintains its eco-friendly attributes in fire scenarios:
It does not contain halogenated flame retardants or heavy metal additives. During combustion, there is no release of toxic and corrosive gases (e.g., hydrogen chloride, bromide), which are harmful to the environment and human health.
The inorganic components are environmentally compatible and do not cause pollution to the surrounding environment after fire, aligning with global green building and sustainable development trends.
Versatile for All Interior & Exterior Applications
