Product Introduction
Magnesium Oxide Drywall Fire Resistant MGO Board Lightweight High-Strength Fireproof Wall Board
Magnesium Oxide Fireproof Drywall is a high-performance inorganic board that's specifically made for indoor wall construction. Its main material is magnesium oxide, and with some new formulas and molding techniques, it has three key benefits: it's lightweight and easy to handle, strong in structure, and really good at resisting fire. Besides that, it's moisture-proof, eco-friendly, and easy to install too. That's why it's the top choice to replace traditional gypsum boards and wood-based panels in modern homes, commercial buildings, and public facilities. It's especially great for indoor places that have strict requirements for fire safety and structural strength.
Advantages of Water-Proof Magnesium Oxide Boards
1. Top-Notch Class A1 Fire Resistance to Keep You Safe
Fire Rating: It meets the GB 8624-2012 Class A1 standard, which means it's a non-combustible material. When there's a fire, it won't give off toxic smoke or melt and drip-so it buys you precious time to get out safely.
Fire Resistance Time: A 10mm-thick board can stand up to fire for at least 90 minutes; 12mm-thick one for 120 minutes or more; and 15mm-thick one for over 180 minutes. It's good enough for firewall design, no need for extra fireproof paint.
2. Lightweight but Strong, Makes Construction a Breeze
Lightweight Design: A 12mm-thick board only weighs 25 to 28 kilograms per square meter-that's 25% to 30% lighter than traditional cement wall boards. One person can carry it easily, which saves you money on construction labor.
Great Structural Strength: It's made of inorganic fibers and magnesium oxide crystals, forming a 3D network structure. Its bending and compression performance is way better than gypsum boards. You can use it directly as the load-bearing layer for non-load-bearing partitions, and it can even hold light furniture or decorative items.
3. Moisture and Mold Resistant, Works Everywhere
Super Moisture Resistant: Its water absorption rate is no more than 10%. Even in damp indoor places like bathrooms, basements, and kitchens, it won't absorb moisture, bulge, or grow mold. That means you won't have to deal with blackened walls or bad smells ever again.
Adapts Well to Humidity: Its linear expansion rate is ≤0.07%. It stays dimensionally stable even when the environment alternates between dry and wet-no warping or cracking. It's perfect for the humid rainy seasons in southern China and the dry weather in northern China.
4. Sound and Heat Insulation, for a Comfortable Home
Great Sound Insulation: A 12mm-thick board has an Airborne Sound Transmission Class (STC) of 38 to 42 dB. It can effectively block noise from inside and outside-like your neighbor's footsteps or the sound of equipment running-making your space quieter and more peaceful.
Heat Insulation & Energy Saving: Its thermal conductivity is 0.13 to 0.16 W/(m·K), which is better than gypsum boards. It helps cut down on the energy used for air conditioning and heating, so it's more energy-efficient.
5. Easy to Process and Finish, Fits Any Style
Easy to Install: You can cut it, drill holes, or make grooves with regular tools-like electric saws and electric drills. The installation doesn't require any complicated skills; it fits firmly with both light steel keels and wood keels, and the splicing is fast.
Works with All Kinds of Finishes: You can directly apply putty, paint it with latex paint, paste wallpaper, or attach decorative materials (like ceramic tiles, stone, HPL decorative panels). It can match all kinds of modern decoration styles-minimalist, luxurious, industrial, you name it.

1. Base Material Composition (Innovative Formula Optimization)
-
Core Components: High-activity magnesium oxide (MgO), food-grade curing agent (chloride-free formula), natural plant fibers (e.g., linen fiber, straw fiber for enhanced toughness), and ultra-fine inorganic fillers (e.g., diatomaceous earth, expanded perlite for improved lightness and thermal insulation).
-
Environmental Performance: Zero formaldehyde, benzene series, or Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) emissions. Complies with national E0-level environmental standards. The inorganic base material is biodegradable, belonging to the category of green building materials.
-
Formula Highlights: Through fiber interweaving and filler modification technology, it reduces board density while enhancing structural strength, solving the pain points of traditional fireproof boards being "heavy and brittle".

Installation Method
1. Core Installation Process
Keel Fixing: Prefer light steel keels (spacing 400-600mm); use galvanized light steel keels in humid areas to avoid corrosion; wood keels need anti-corrosion treatment in advance.
Board Fixing: Use self-tapping screws (stainless steel or galvanized material) for fixation. Screw spacing is 150-200mm, 10-15mm from the board edge to avoid edge cracking; stagger joints when installing double-layer boards.
Joint Treatment: Reserve 3-5mm gaps at board joints, fill with special joint compound and paste joint tape, then smooth with putty before finishing construction to prevent future cracking.
Moisture-Proof Treatment: For humid areas such as bathrooms and basements, apply moisture-proof coating on the back of the board and use neutral mold-proof sealant at joints to enhance moisture resistance.
2. Daily Maintenance & Service Life
Daily Cleaning: Wipe surface dust and stains with a damp cloth; avoid using strong acid or alkali cleaners to prevent damage to the board finish.
Local Repair: For minor surface scratches, apply putty and repaint with topcoat; for damaged boards, cut same-specification boards for local replacement without affecting the overall wall structure.
Service Life: Under normal indoor use scenarios, the service life can reach more than 25 years. Moisture and fire resistance performance remains stable for a long time, requiring no frequent replacement or maintenance.
