1. Waterproof Performance
Magnesium sulfate has a stable chemical structure, so it can effectively keep water out. The board's water absorption rate stays below 8% to 10%. Unlike traditional magnesium oxychloride boards (MgCl₂ boards), MgSO₄ boards totally fix the "efflorescence" issue-so they won't absorb moisture from the air and corrode metal keels. Base Treatment
Ensure the wall base is flat and dry (moisture content ≤10%), free of oil and dust. For light steel keels, check the keel spacing (recommended ≤600mm) and verticality.
Board Installation
Bonding Method: Apply special adhesive (e.g., modified cement adhesive or epoxy resin adhesive) evenly on the base with a thickness of 2-3mm. After pasting the board, tap it firmly with a rubber hammer to ensure no hollowing.
Mechanical Fixing Method: Fix with self-tapping screws (length ≥ board thickness + keel thickness + 10mm) at a spacing of 150-200mm, 15-20mm from the board edge. The screw heads should be slightly embedded 1mm into the board surface.
Joint Treatment
Reserve 3-5mm gaps between boards, fill with elastic sealant (e.g., neutral silicone sealant), and paste alkali-resistant glass fiber mesh (width ≥50mm) to prevent cracking.
Add an additional layer of mesh cloth at internal and external corners to enhance crack resistance.
Surface Decoration
Can be directly plastered with putty, painted with latex paint, or tiled with ceramic tiles or stone. For tile installation, use flexible tile adhesive to avoid falling off due to thermal expansion and contraction.
For exterior wall applications, it is recommended to spray waterproof and breathable coatings (e.g., acrylic-based) on the board surface to improve weather resistance.
