Product Introduction

Fireproof A1 Grade MGO Board Magnesium Oxide Board Ceiling

Fireproof A1 Grade MgO Board Ceiling is a specialized inorganic ceiling material engineered for fire safety, durability, and environmental friendliness, tailored to the structural and functional requirements of suspended ceiling systems. It is formulated with high-purity magnesium oxide (MgO), food-grade magnesium chloride, and lightweight mineral fillers (e.g., perlite, vermiculite), reinforced with double-layer alkaline glass fiber mesh for enhanced toughness. Through advanced autoclave curing technology, it forms a dense, stable magnesium oxychloride crystal structure.

With a thickness range of 6–12mm (optimized for ceiling applications to balance lightweight and load-bearing performance), this board holds the A1 Class Non-Combustible fire rating- the highest level in international building standards. It integrates fire resistance, moisture resistance, acoustic insulation, and dimensional stability, making it a premium alternative to traditional gypsum board, PVC ceiling panels, and mineral fiber ceilings for spaces with strict fire codes.

Advantage of Fireproof A1 Grade MGO Board Magnesium Oxide Board Ceiling

1. Fire Resistance

Certified Fire Rating: Complies with EN 13501-1 and ASTM E136 standards, achieving A1 Class Non-Combustible rating-does not burn, ignite, or spread flames even when exposed to 1200°C high temperatures.

Structural Stability Under Fire: Maintains integrity for 60–120 minutes (depending on thickness) at 800°C, preventing ceiling collapse during fire incidents and winning critical evacuation time.

Safety in Fire Scenarios: No toxic smoke, corrosive gas, or molten drips are released when heated, eliminating secondary hazards caused by burning ceiling materials.

2. Lightweight & Load-Bearing Balance

Optimized Thickness for Ceilings: 6–8mm for lightweight suspended ceilings (suitable for residential spaces); 10–12mm for heavy-duty ceiling systems (commercial/public areas with lighting and ventilation installations).

Low Density & High Strength: Density ranges from 800–1000 kg/m³, significantly lighter than cement fiber boards, reducing the load on ceiling keels and building structures.

Anti-Sagging Performance: Flexural strength ≥12 MPa, resisting long-term deformation or sagging caused by its own weight or mounted equipment (e.g., spotlights, air vents).

3. Moisture & Mold Resistance

Waterproof Mechanism: Dense crystal structure with no hydrophilic gaps, fundamentally preventing water vapor penetration; water absorption rate ≤18% (tested per GB/T 7019 standard).

Humidity Stability: No swelling, warping, or cracking in high-humidity environments (e.g., bathrooms, kitchens, basements, coastal areas); maintains dimensional stability with deformation rate <0.2% under dry-wet cycles.

Mold & Insect Proof: Inorganic composition does not support mold, mildew, or termite growth, avoiding ceiling decay and odor issues common with organic ceiling materials.

4. Acoustic & Thermal Insulation

Sound Absorption: The porous internal structure of lightweight fillers (perlite/vermiculite) effectively absorbs medium and low-frequency noise, with a sound insulation index of 30–38 dB-reducing noise transmission between floors and improving indoor comfort.

Thermal Insulation: Low thermal conductivity (0.18–0.22 W/m·K), helping to stabilize indoor temperatures and reduce energy consumption for heating and cooling systems.

5. Environmental Safety & Durability

Zero Harmful Substances: Free of asbestos, formaldehyde, benzene, and radioactive elements, meeting E1 Class environmental standards; suitable for sensitive spaces such as hospitals, schools, and kindergartens.

Long Service Life: Resists aging, yellowing, and fading under UV exposure; service life of 30+ years under normal use, far exceeding the 5–10 year lifespan of PVC or gypsum ceilings.

Easy Maintenance: Smooth surface is stain-resistant and washable; minor scratches can be repaired with paint without replacing the entire panel.

 Application Scenarios

1. Residential Buildings

Suspended ceilings for living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, and bathrooms-resisting moisture and fire hazards from cooking and bathing.

Basement and attic ceilings-solving mold and deformation issues caused by high humidity.

Integrated ceiling systems-serving as a fireproof substrate for aluminum gusset plates or PVC decorative panels.

2. Commercial & Public Spaces

Shopping malls, hotels, office buildings, and hospitals-meeting strict fire safety requirements for public gathering places.

Schools, libraries, and elderly care facilities-prioritizing environmental safety and acoustic insulation.

Cinema, theater, and KTV ceilings-combining fire resistance with sound absorption to improve audio effects.

3. Industrial & Special Spaces

Light industrial workshops, warehouses, and logistics centers-resisting fire risks from electrical equipment and goods storage.

Subway stations, tunnels, and airport terminals-withstanding high-frequency vibration and maintaining structural stability.

Chemical plants and power plants-resisting corrosion from mild chemical fumes in the air.

Installation & Construction Points

Keel Installation: Use galvanized light steel keels (main keel spacing 800–1000mm, auxiliary keel spacing 400–600mm) to build a stable ceiling frame; ensure the frame is level and firm.

Board Cutting: Cut the MgO ceiling board to the required size with a circular saw or utility knife; polish the cut edges to avoid sharp burrs.

Fixing Method: Use corrosion-resistant self-tapping screws (length 20–25mm) to fix the board to the auxiliary keels; screw spacing 200–250mm, and keep 10–15mm from the board edges to prevent cracking.

Seam Treatment: Fill the 3–5mm expansion joints between boards with waterproof joint compound; paste fiberglass tape over the joints and smooth the surface to prevent cracking caused by temperature changes.

Surface Finishing: The board surface can be directly painted, pasted with wallpaper, or covered with decorative films; for humid environments, apply a layer of waterproof paint to enhance moisture resistance.

Storage Requirements: Store the boards in a dry, ventilated place; avoid stacking them directly on the ground, and prevent rain or moisture from soaking the boards.
